DAM Workshop 2019

WHAT:

DAM WORKSHOP is designed to be a hands-on experience for learning Design for Additive Manufacturing (DAM) fundamentals paired with the practical hardware and software experience needed to leverage the advantages of additive manufacturing methods.

In 2019 we are excited to be finishing construction of a new additive manufacturing learning lab. Due to logistical delays in hardware setup, we are forced to POSTPONE the 2019 workshop so that we may bring all hardware fully online and complete design of an all new curriculum. Please email for more information or check back here for updates.

Modeling, simulation, and 3D printing topics will include:
Topology optimization & generative design   AM process & thermal history simulation
Design of cellular/lattice mesostructures   Distortion & compensation
Lattice for functionally graded compliance   Assembly design to reduce part count
Guest lectures: Altair, nTopology, Penumbra Engineering, MINES ADAPT

WHERE:

Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO

WHEN:

POSTPONED -- we are targeting early 2020 to reschedule

HOW:

Online registration for DAM WORKSHOP will be announced here

AGENDA:

An all new modular curriculum will include both guided instruction and personalized learning options. Explore DAM topics with our examples or bring your own parts/problems to work on!
